Family holiday in the beautiful village of Charlestown Cornwall… built in the late 1700’s this tiny harbour village is largely unchanged, with sailing ships in the harbour to this day the port remains unspoiled and retains much of its Georgian character. It’s also famous for film and television locations such as Poldark, Hornblowerand Mansfield. The beaches either side of the quay are so close a toddler can make it.

Simon and I stayed in the studio last year “stunning” we were blown away!

We booked again this year and stayed at the cottage… log burner, sash windows, belfast sink, wooden beams, french dresser & lavender bushes in the gorgeous garden, this cottage oozes character.

We arrived at the beautiful town of Padstow, first stop a pint of Padstow to experience the local beer, fish and chips at Rick Stein, walk around the harbour andlocal shops, love to treat myself, always something a little different in seaside towns… it takes me back to my childhood.. bucket and spade, fishing rod, crabbing, surfing – memories are so precious!

We caught the train to St Ives and took the costal walk to Carbis bay – WOW! Beautiful white sands and clear blue water, well worth a visit.
